“Can't believe how amazing they were! I dread moving, but this was a joy. Daniel and crew are absolutely the best. I will always call them first for all of my moving needs. You should definitely hire these folks! I am so happy!”
I’m Garrett Volk. Before I built Neita Mover in 2014, I spent years routing freight through the interstate junction that earns Indianapolis its “Crossroads of America” name — I-65, I-69, I-70, I-74, all wrapped by the I-465 beltway. More interstates meet here than anywhere in the country, and I plan every long-haul move like the freight run it actually is.
How the rate is built
Loading and unloading are billed hourly at the same crew rates as a local job. The distance and the size of your household set the flat total, which we write down before departure. Our dispatcher Marcus Fillenwarth sequences the load so the drive is a straight shot, not a scramble.
| Setup | Hourly at both ends | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2 movers & a truck | $149/hr | Apartments and smaller households |
| 3 movers & a truck | $199/hr | Larger homes, faster load times |
Sample flat rates from Indianapolis
These are the corridors we run most out of Central Indiana. Your written quote lands inside these ranges once we’ve weighed the household:
| Route from Indianapolis | Distance | Flat-rate range |
|---|---|---|
| Indianapolis to Cincinnati, OH | ~110 mi | $1,750 – $2,350 |
| Indianapolis to Louisville, KY | ~115 mi | $1,800 – $2,400 |
| Indianapolis to Columbus, OH | ~175 mi | $2,150 – $2,850 |
| Indianapolis to Chicago, IL | ~185 mi | $2,250 – $3,000 |
| Indianapolis to St. Louis, MO | ~245 mi | $2,700 – $3,550 |
Coverage starts at $0.60/lb released-value and you can step up to full-value protection, with up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment carried on file. All of it locked before we pull out of your Indianapolis address.
One crew, start to finish
The two- or three-person team that loads your truck here is the same team that unloads it at your new front door. Nothing gets dropped at a warehouse and handed to strangers halfway down I-70. My long-haul lead Devon Utterback keeps the same crew on your load the entire route, which is the part that actually protects your furniture.
Timed to your relocation
Job transfers and school-year deadlines rarely fall on a convenient Tuesday, so weekend departures run at our regular rate. And because I-65 and I-70 push straight through Indiana weather, Marcus watches the forecast — a spring severe-storm warning gets a reschedule call, not a gamble. Before you commit, price it on the moving calculator. Need boxing done first? See full-service packing. Gap between closing dates? Short-term storage bridges it, and the home page has the rest.
